Our Story
One Family, Four Generations.
We’re a family-owned business 100 years in the making on a mission to provide top tier quality oral healthcare to our patients.
Early Years
Our story began with Dr. Clyde G.W. Erbeck, born in Mason, Ohio in 1903. The son of a carpet weaver, Clyde was born in the house that eventually became the start of our families journey with dentistry. After graduating from the Cincinnati College of Dental Surgery, Clyde started practicing dentistry from his childhood home. Addressing the growing dental needs of his rural community, Clyde became the first dentist in Mason in 1926. As he perfected his craft, many of his patients would travel from surrounding areas just to see Clyde. At the time, there wasn’t much preventative dentistry available, but Clyde was unrivaled at making dentures and performing tooth extractions.

As his business grew, he opened a second practice on East Court Street in downtown Cincinnati. Clyde wasn’t much for rest, working six days a week. He took the morning trolley downtown, practiced until lunch, came back to Mason and practiced late into the evening. We have had many patients over the years share stories of Clyde’s office. Most notably, Clyde treated African Americans at a time when many others wouldn’t, that there were lines around the block on Saturdays for his office, and that tooth extractions cost $1. Clyde made such an impact on the Mason community that he was bestowed with the honor of a street named after him.
1950’s
Dr. Gail Erbeck was the second generation of Erbeck dentists. After finishing his degree at The Ohio State College of Dentistry, he moved back to Mason in the 1950s and started his own practice right across the street from his father’s office. Oddly enough, the two never worked side by side as Dr. Gail took his newfound skills and practiced a style of dentistry much more similar to today’s procedures, while Cylde continued to specialize in denture work and extractions. Gail was deeply involved in his community, owning Western Row golf course, and had passions for cooking and traveling with his wife Annette and their four children.

1990’s
Dr. Brad Erbeck joined the family practice in 1986 after graduating from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Brad quickly filled the shoes of his father, and as the Mason community started to grow, so did the Erbeck family’s dental practice. The combination of a great location and several large corporations expanding their footprint made Mason a fantastic place for him and his wife Nancy to raise their two children and continue growing the family business. Dr. Brad has updated the practice in many ways over the years, implementing newer digital technologies into the daily practice of the dentistry we perform to keep our patients healthy.
Present
Dr. Steven Erbeck graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2020, and moved back home to Cincinnati with his wife Sydney to take over the family business. Like his father before him, Dr. Brad graciously transitioned the management roles and responsibilities to Dr. Steven in 2021, and quickly thereafter Dr. Steven acquired a second practice, currently located in Montgomery. Dr. Steven recognizes the changing nature of the dental landscape and has transformed the Erbeck family’s fourth generation practice into a full service, state of the art, privately-owned group dental practice with multiple locations in the Cincinnati area. Dr. Steven is deeply grateful for the unique opportunity his family has bestowed upon him. He is looking forward to continually providing excellent service to our community as we have for generations!
